Choral Workshop - Saturday, October 5, 2019

The six hour workshop on Saturday, October 5, 2019 is free and open to all participating choir members, conductors and community members with an interest in a capella singing.  The workshop will focus on learning and rehearsing choral pieces to be performed as part of Sunday's concert.  

The workshop will be led by guest conductors Timothy Sawyer and Michael McGaghie

Lunch is provided.

Provide the following:

  • Name
  • Vocal range (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone, Bass)
  • Church choir affiliation, if applicable

General registration opens August 1. Deadline for registration is October 1, 2019.

Festival Choir Music - 2018

On the day of the workshop, all participants will receive a folder with the music. Pencils will also be provided to mark your music.  

We are still working on the repertoire for the 2019 Festival Choir.

General information for participants

Dress: Dress casually and wear shoes comfortable for standing.

You may want to bring a light jacket, as the school building can be cool in the morning.

Parking:  Workshop participants can park in the St. Constantine parking lot, behind the church.  Enter the lot from NE 4th Street.  Registration is inside the school, which has an entrance just off the parking lot. 


  • 08:30 a.m. - Registration begins. Water will be available at the workshop.
  • 09:00 a.m. - Sectional rehearsals (part 1) in the school
  • 09:45 a.m. - short break for conductors to switch sectionals
  • 09:50 a.m. - Sectional rehearsals (part 2) in the school
  • 10:35 - morning break 
  • 10:45 - Tutti rehearsal in the church
  • 12:00 p.m. - Lunch in the school
  • 12:45 p.m. - Tutti rehearsal in the church
  • 1:20 - afternoon break
  • 1:30- Final tutti rehearsal in the church
  • 02:20 p.m. - Wrap-up & discuss concert details for Sunday
  • 02:30 p.m. - Workshop ends
